Kulicke and Soffa develop and produce pick and place machines for the electronics industry. As a senior electrical engineer I was involved in the development of the newest generation SMT pick and place machine. For that machine I designed a number of smart interface modules and I was also
involved in the complete electrical system design, cables and system integration of all the electronic modules (insorced, outsourced and off the shelf modules).
At Kulicke and Soffa I did the following activities:
- Designed a analogue temperature sensor acquisition board
- Designed a encoder interface board with encoder error detection
- Designed a interface board for all the sensors and actuators in the tool exchange unit module
- Investigated and solved EMC problems in the system
- System integration
- Module testing
