They provide resources and services to other business units within Philips and to clients outside of Philips. The Electronic Products &amp; Systems department focuses on product development. Lumileds (a LED producer of Philips) was looking for a simple, low cost and portable demo driver to demonstrate their newest LEDs and to give to their clients. They asked for a driver that could drive two LEDs and with a knob that would control the intensity of the LEDs such that while the intensity of the first led increases the intensity of the second LED will decrease and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Electronics Designer I was responsible for designing a driver that would satisfy their requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My tasks were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a low cost portable driver concept<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make a design based on that concept<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement, test and demonstrate the concept<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make a number of samples<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a short time I created a concept, implemented it and successfully demonstrated it to Lumileds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Philips Innovation Services is an Engineering firm within Philips.
